Is there any amount of alcohol, even trace amounts in the ferments?
Any probiotic food that has gone through natural fermentation process will develop trace amounts of alcohols when there is no fermentation inhibitor. Because our drinks continue to ferment in the months after bottling, alcohols WILL eventually develop, but it is usually around the time frame that we indicate with best by date on the lid. It is safe to consume our fermented products beyond that date, but as many of you have learned they will taste much more sour/carbonated/contain a higher percentage of alcohol. If you are sensitive to any trace alcohols we recommend you avoid our fermented drinks.
